Bitfury launches enterprise division for bitcoin-anchored blockchain service

The Exonum platform also offers upgraded security through anchoring to the Bitcoin blockchain, keeping enterprise systems safe without exposing any internal or private data...

Bitfury, a full-service blockchain technology company, today announced it has launched Exonum Enterprise, a
full-service blockchain division building on Bitfury’s Exonum blockchain framework. The Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering will help companies and governments easily design and launch private blockchain projects.

Already deployed for several use-cases, Bitfury used Exonum’s timestamping feature to validate and secure land titles in the Republic of Georgia and has secured to date more than 2 million titles.

In Ukraine, Bitfury built an Exonum blockchain-based e-auction system in 2018 for the State Agency for e-Governance, which to date has completed 50,000 auctions and an 18 percent increase in total sales.

Alongside global engineering company Aricent, Bitfury used a supply chain module of Exonum to help track developer progress and product development, leading to a 34 percent increase in product development speed and a 29 percent increase in team productivity.

Bitfury also used its Exonum platform to build a diploma verification system for Synergy University, which has now validated more than 100,000 diplomas. Further, the Exonum framework is being used by medical data company Longenesis to manage patient consent and privacy in several hospitals in South Korea.

“Our team has been testing, expanding and improving our Exonum blockchain platform since its launch in 2017. It is now one of the most secure and efficient blockchain  platforms available today for enterprise-scale projects, and its effectiveness has been proven through several global projects.”
– Gleb Palienko, head of Exonum

Exonum Enterprise

Exonum Enterprise introduces several new features for clients, including a full-service dashboard that tracks blockchain deployments, Bitfury DevOps support, and the ability to launch blockchain projects in minutes.

It can be easily integrated with enterprise business systems by using Bitfury’s software development kit (available in Java, JavaScript, and Python). The platform can handle up to 5,000 transactions per second and uses Bitfury’s proprietary consensus algorithm to protect operations even in the case of node malfunction or malicious behavior.

The Exonum blockchain platform was launched in July 2017 as an open-source project.

To date, the project has more than 200 contributors. The Exonum core code will continue to be available open source (in Rust and Java) on GitHub for independent developers.

“Blockchain is unparalleled in its ability to streamline operations, but its premier benefit to our world is its transparency and security. The Exonum Enterprise platform will further the adoption of blockchain, helping make our institutions more trusted and in turn, improving the lives of people all around the world.”
– Valery Vavilov, CEO of Bitfury
