OKLink, a global blockchain money transfer network announced today they will partner with BUX Global Limited, a mobile money wallet and communications provider to offer real-time remittance services to their global user base in the unbanked sector. BUX, an Australian incorporated company specializing in mobile wallet solutions offers an app based global payment network for the “international migrant” and “under-banked community.”

With operations in Australia, HK, Singapore, UK & EU, UAE and the USA, the primary focus at BUX is to provide disruptive payment and value-added services for this target market with their simple to use mobile app.

BUX currently provides digital payment services tailored for overseas foreign workers and new migrant customers, allowing them to top up mobile phones, pay bills, make e-commerce payments, and send money internationally, without needing a credit card or bank account.

Powered by OKLink, BUX now offers their global customers access to additional real-time settlement options via bank transfer, cash pickup, and mobile wallets, in more than 20 countries, including the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Indonesia.

Devere Bryan, Chief Operating Officer at BUX, commented on the partnership:

“We are very excited to partner with OKLink, as we view it as the region’s premier settlement system. OKLink will help BUX bolster and expand our network allowing us to provide more customers all over the world with a fast, convenient, cost effective and reliable solution for their cross-border payment needs, right in the palm of their hands.”

Jason Lau, Vice President of Business Development at OKLink, said:

“We are thrilled Bux has chosen OKLink as the backbone of their remittance services. We hope to help Bux reach many more overseas workers in the region who have limited access to banks and we look forward to working with Devere and the entire BUX team on this partnership.”
