Klaytn blockchain browser extension wallet Kaikas now available

Klaytyn, an enterprise-grade user-friendly blockchain platform from Kakao, has officially launched Kaikas, a browser extension wallet for the Klaytn blockchain. Available in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox; Kaikas provides a secure and easy means to interact with the Klaytn network via a web browser.

With Kaikas, users are able to securely store and transact with their KLAY and Klaytn-based tokens. Additionally, users can sign requests from web-based Klaytn BApps (blockchain applications) in real-time.

Key features of Kaikas

PC web browser-based decentralized HD wallet

Optimized for the desktop environment, Kaikas is a web browser extension available in Chrome and Firefox. Kaikas requires users to manage their own accounts and keys.

Kaikas is a Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet; meaning that it generates a hierarchical tree-like structure of private/public keys indefinitely from a single seed phrase. The seed phrase consists of mnemonic code words, which are easier to remember than random alphanumerics. Private keys are encrypted and stored on a user’s own browsers.

Support for various Klaytn networks and tokens

The Kaikas browser extension allows users to store and transact with all Klaytn-based tokens including KLAY. Any token that is not listed by default can be inserted by pasting the contract address. Users can also store and transact their own unique Klaytn-based custom tokens on Kaikas.

Currently, Kaikas supports Klaytn’s Baobab testnet as well as the Cypress mainnet. Moreover, those developing Klaytn-based BApps may connect to their private networks to test the applications.

Signing web-based BApp transactions

Kaikas connects to web-based Klaytn BApps. This enables users to operate their Kaikas account to sign all types of transactions/data presented by the applications. Kaikas also manages fee delegation, with BApp developers and operators able to sign fee transactions.
