COSIMO Ventures, a global venture capital (VC) firm, announced three late seed round investments through its evergreen, tokenized VC fund, COSIMO X.
Funding will be provided to GECKO Governance, a blockchain-based financial software solution that allows fund managers to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, and Oneiro, the developer of ndau – the world’s first, buoyant digital asset. Additionally, COSIMO X will invest in Lingar, an augmented reality mobile application and SaaS platform for museums, cultural institutions, tours, and special venues.
“After an initial high volume wave of lower quality projects in the blockchain and cryptocurrency spaces, companies like Lingar, Oneiro, and GECKO are building products from the lessons learned in years prior. In addition to seed investments, we will provide hands-on advisory and management services to help these disruptive early-stage companies succeed.”
- COSIMO X will provide $1.5 million to Oneiro, the developer of ndau, the world’s first “buoyant” digital currency, designed with smart monetary policies that mitigate volatility plus an underlying endowment of assets which together create a digital asset optimized for the long-term store of value. This investment follows COSIMO Ventures’ $3 million investment in Oneiro in February 2018.
- COSIMO X’s investment in GECKO Governance also comes following earlier seed stage funding provided by COSIMO Ventures in January 2018.
- Additionally, COSIMO X’s investment in Lingar will help the company promote the adoption of its mobile AR platform designed to make interactive digital experiences available to any visitor at any venue.
