Cypherium partners with bloXroute to tackle blockchain scalability

Cypherium announced a partnership with bloXroute Labs in order to increase scalability for blockchains. The partnership will introduce new improvements to the already transformational Cypherium Blockchain. Cypherium is developing a highly scalable, adaptable blockchain capable of processing thousands of transactions per second. A transaction throughput of this scale will increase blockchain technology’s chances of breaking into the mainstream and will allow cryptocurrency to become a viable payment method for everyday purchases. The utilization of the bloXroute technology will help Cypherium achieve unique real-world scalability.

bloXroute’s main goal is to promote the success and real-world traction of blockchains and cryptocurrencies. bloXroute does so by providing the first trustless and provably neutral Block Distribution Network (BDN), which can be applied to any blockchain that wishes to do so.

Cypherium is a highly scalable & permission-less hybrid blockchain platform based on proof-of-work and Byzantine fault tolerance consensus. Mentored by Emin Gun Sirer of Bitcoin-NG and Bryan Ford of ByzCoin, Sky Guo conceptualized the first blockchain protocol optimized for both on-chain scalability and mineability through a hybrid PBFT/PoW consensus mechanism. The design goal of Cypherium focuses on achieving the apex of scalability, decentralization, and commercialization viability.

“We are very excited to reveal bloXroute, a scalable substrate that is designed to bring on-chain scalability to all blockchains. Cypherium is a great example of a cutting-edge blockchain, and we look forward to using bloXroute to push their scalability boundary to tens of thousands transactions per second.”

Cornell professor and bloXroute Lab’s Chief Scientist, Emin Gün Sirer

Cypherium’s unique consensus mechanism provides unprecedented transaction throughput and contract execution time through Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) while leveraging an ASIC-resistant PoW system for decentralized node election. By providing fundamental building blocks for developers to create groundbreaking applications, and an intuitive interface for users to access these functionalities, Cypherium aims to provide a comprehensive foundation for the future of blockchain technology.
