TREZOR crypto wallet now fully supports all current ERC-20 tokens

TREZOR, the cryptocurrency hardware wallet today updated its firmware to 1.5.0. This is a stable version of TREZOR firmware and an optional update. However, the company said it is not yet useful for a majority of users, the update will only be available on the TREZOR Beta Wallet.

The update brings full support for ERC-2o tokens and initial support for Rootstock (RSK). Additionally, TREZOR is now ready for SegWit on Litecoin and on Bitcoin Testnet.

Starting with this version of TREZOR firmware, TREZOR fully supports all current ERC-20 tokens. The device will display transaction details, such as the token type, value, as well as the transaction fee. Users will be asked to confirm your transaction on TREZOR and then ultimately on MyEtherWallet.

Sending ERC-20 tokens: Before & after firmware 1.5.0. Information is fully available now.

As noted above, TREZOR will handle both Legacy and new SegWit accounts seamlessly and clearly: giving users the option to work with both. SegWit accounts on Litecoin will be fully usable from the next release of the TREZOR Beta Wallet.

Today’s firmware release is a preparatory step towards full support. Litecoin SegWit on Beta Wallet can give you a good picture of how SegWit will work when it is activated on Bitcoin. Further information on how to use SegWit accounts will be released in due time.

Finally, in this firmware update, support for Rootstock in TREZOR is initiated, as well as merge-mine it on Slush Pool. Rootstock brings smart contract technology to Bitcoin, aiming to improve the entire ecosystem. Starting with this release, TREZOR is becoming a part of the continuing development, namely by implementing support for RSK in TREZOR.
