Cryptocurrencies make their way into the online casino industry

Cryptocurrencies make their way into the online casino industry

At present, it is true and fair to say that cryptocurrency is treated in a different way than fiat currency by financial institutions and any organization involved in providing services for money. While some sectors, and some businesses within sectors, are closer to full acceptance of Bitcoin and altcoins, there remains a definite distinction between fiat and crypto. One of the industries where that distinction is more blurred than in others is the betting sector.

This of course does not mean that all of the top online casinos in the USA are crypto-friendly. In truth, the bigger a name the casino is, the less likely it is to accept crypto as a payment method. This is not so much a judgment on the worth of blockchain currencies as a reaction to the lack of regulation both nationally and internationally of such currencies. Also, it doesn’t mean that crypto betting is off the cards for players. As we’ll see, there is space within the casino industry for crypto gaming.

Crypto credibility is high among bettors

The fact that something is not permitted by the biggest names in an industry is not a sign that it does not have an audience. After all, a lot of film studios won’t make musicals, but this doesn’t stop musical films from becoming hugely popular. Crypto may not be accepted by the biggest casinos in the industry, but it is accepted within the industry and is certainly popular. In the main, you will find that betting is available at specialist crypto casinos. As with any casino site, you still need to be checking that the provider is licensed and trustworthy – but if you can affirm this, then there are dozens of sites out there for you.

Crypto casinos going the extra mile to prove themselves

If you were trying to get a break in an industry, and you were from a sector of that industry that had picked up a less than flattering reputation, you’d do your best to show you’re “one of the good ones”. This is something that a lot of crypto casinos have put their efforts into showing recently, with many taking the time to host “Provably Fair” games on their sites. The best crypto casinos also offer top-level customer support, privacy, and rapid, clean withdrawals, cognizant of the fact that people are waiting for them to fall down on this. There are some crypto casinos that aren’t trustworthy, just as the same is true for fiat casinos – but this helps the valid ones stand out as being good providers.

Crypto gaming offers a lot of benefits

For those gamers who are prepared to bet using crypto – a growing number – the benefits of this form of betting are increasingly obvious. Faster transactions are a huge part of this: with a fiat currency, you’re lucky to see your withdrawals within 24 hours. Crypto withdrawals, including those with several altcoins, can be more or less instant. All you need is a crypto wallet and a valid email address, and you can get hold of the winnings from a successful stint at the casino tables within minutes. It’s also noticeable that crypto casinos are offering bonus promotions that far exceed what you’ll see from the fiat ones. So all in all, it’s worth looking deeper into crypto gaming if you’ve been interested before.
