SIRIN LABS reopens London flagship store for FINNEY blockchain smartphone

SIRIN LABS today announced it has reopened its flagship store in London after rebranding it to fit the concept of FINNEY. This is the first store in the world to sell blockchain smartphones, which will also function as a local community center and meetup for the crypto community and those who would like to learn more about blockchain.

FINNEY, a secure blockchain smartphone that runs SIRIN OS, is priced at $999 and will be available for purchase in the flagship store in London starting today. It will also be available today for those who purchased FINNEY on sirinlabs.com. Soon, SIRIN LABS will open its second flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.

FINNEY offers their mobile blockchain device available with its own embedded cold storage crypto wallet, combined with mobile technology and design.

The multi-layered cybersecurity suite that FINNEY offers is an ultra-secure handset with a machine learning-based Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) that protects from network attacks, host-based attacks, unsecure device definitions, and constantly detects online and offline on-device cyber threats.

The unique sliding design of the Safe Screen is one of FINNEY’s strongest features, and operates as the gateway to the crypto world by activating the cold storage wallet. Functioning on dedicated hardware and software, SIRIN LABS offers the utmost security to care for users’ tokens, as the Safe Screen has a separate power switch. The Safe Screen also allows users to independently verify that FINNEY wallet transactions include the correct amount, the correct currency, and are being sent to the correct address. This empowers users to verify that they’re not being tricked by malware or hackers looking to steal and send their cryptocurrencies or tokens to a fraudulent third party.

In addition to the newest technology and cyber protection, FINNEY also offers the highest level of modern and expressive design. The phone is framed with high gloss metal, mirror polished aluminum, and  3D Gorilla Glass on both the posterior and anterior of the device. These are accompanied by the metallic signature Shield Element surrounding the camera, sensors, and fingerprint scanner.

SIRIN LABS first announced its plan to create and manufacture the world’s first blockchain smartphone in September 2017, with the vision to bridge the gap between the mass market adoption and the blockchain economy. Earlier this year, SIRIN LABS chose electric giant FIH Mobile (Foxconn International Holdings) to lead the manufacturing of FINNEY, with SIRIN LABS leading the development of the cold storage wallet hardware and its own operating system: SIRIN OS.

“From now on, our trusted community and our clients all over the world can go anywhere in the world with a smartphone that serves their need for top-notch security with a smartphone that has token holders in mind. We’re now proudly selling a flagship device in our own store, and through our partners, we’re able to provide a device that offers users the experience we envisioned when we began creating SIRIN OS. We look forward to seeing the first users’ responses to our FINNEY, and expect great adoption within the crypto community.”

Zvi Landau, Co-CEO at SIRIN LABS

“London is diverse, creative and a thriving technology hub. In 2018, London’s tech sector attracted significantly more investment than other European centers, raising more than £1.8 billion. It is the ideal first location for the FINNEY, the first mass-market blockchain phone in the world, to go on sale. FINNEY will let you store and use cryptocurrencies totally securely, and I hope it will act as a platform to help tech companies in London and elsewhere to reach new audiences.”
