Bitstamp, Europe’s first regulated bitcoin exchange, announced today they have added the USA to the list of countries where customers can buy bitcoin by Visa or MasterCard credit/debit card.

Only a one-time verification of user card details is required for instant availability of bitcoin purchases.

To get started:

• Go to the deposit page and choose a credit card from the side menu
• Choose the amount you would like to spend
• Enter your card details and click ‘submit’

This service is enabled through cooperation with Bitstamp payment partner, Simplex. Simplex provides Bitcoin exchanges, broker websites and wallet applications with a fully protected fraud-free platform for selling bitcoins via credit card.

The debit/credit card purchasing functionality is already available to customers in the EU and 60 other countries around the world.

Bitstamp provides trading in the following crypto markets:

  1. BTC/USD
  2. BTC/EUR
  3. EUR/USD
  4. XRP/USD
  5. XRP/EUR
  6. XRP/BTC

Bitstamp has offices in the UK in London, Luxembourg and New York City.
