Digital Gamma, creators of a crypto repo marketplace, today announced that its Repo market is now live in beta. Clients are able to see and transact on a 2-way, transparent, bilateral marketplace. One side gets a coin borrow and the other side of the same trade gets a USD borrow.
The current market allows for bids to borrow BTC / lend USD for 2 weeks. Offers are to lend BTC / borrow USD for 2 weeks. In addition to the order book, the Digital Gamma team will take RFQs to accommodate different terms, such as ETH or different time periods.
Applications for Digital Gamma’s TPR extend beyond spot transactions. For example, the protocol works well for options; a risk management protocol familiar to capital markets professionals.
