Ethereum-powered Status app now allows users to import addresses

Status, the Ethereum-powered mobile app for interacting with the blockchain with messenger and wallet features; today announced very useful updates since the app was launched in its full version last month.

First, it’s now possible to import other Ethereum addresses using a private key or seed phrase inside the wallet. This enables users to manage more of their accounts in one place.

Additionally, to improve the messenger function, Status has introduced a “Mark all as read” option for busy public channels. The messenger update also includes improved UI and design. Plus, to improve performance, Status has changed the number of messages loading on the app at a given time. This allows users to load public chats quicker, and the overall app will also load faster.

Lastly, Status has made improvements to ENS. The app has been updated with the new ENS registry, display of ENS names in chats is improved, and a bug has been fixed caused by lengthy usernames.
