BetProtocol to use Chainlink for off-chain eSports data

BetProtocol, a blockchain-powered platform for building betting apps, today announced it will integrate eSports and sports oracles from Chainlink on all of its gaming platforms.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments.

Oracles will provide BetProtocol operators with accurate off-chain data (data that exists outside the blockchain) to reliably settle bets.

“eSports and Sports platforms are going to play a huge role in the future of decentralized gaming. And Chainlink is the perfect oracle provider for BetProtocol.”
– Justin Wu, Co-Founder of BetProtocol

Upon launch, operators on BetProtocol will have Chainlink as their default oracle setting. Furthermore, operators using Chainlink will have priority certification and on-boarding.

eSports platforms are scheduled to be released first on BetProtocol within the next several months.
