Electra opens pilot testing for new crypto payment system

Electra (ECA), an open-source Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain project focused on digital payments, announced today it is now seeking merchants to beta test its flagship product, ElectraPay.

ElectraPay is a complete financial management system, that will allow merchants to easily adopt an alternative payment method that is not dependent upon payment service providers, banks, or credit card companies to complete transactions.

Features

In addition to being an alternative payment method, there are many unique features built into ElectraPay. Currently, this includes the capability to create payment rules such as fees and commissions, with plans to integrate additional features such as an affiliate management system.

During ElectraPay’s initial phase, all transactions will take place through a WooCommerce plugin. However, this will soon grow to include Shopify, BigCommerce, and other popular e-merchant software.

Since the entire Electra brand is built on its very own blockchain, it will allow for entirely new methods of completing transactions. ElectraPay enables consumers and merchants to utilize digital exchange methods through the use of tokens and QR codes.

While the use of plugins will be the current method of application to accept Electra, negotiations are currently ongoing for the integration of ElectraPay into the software of point-of-sale (POS) machines.

Pilot Participation

Five participants will be chosen to take part in the beta-test. Those interested in participating are asked to send the following information to merchants@electraproject.org by January 10, 2020: Contact and store details, website URL, high-resolution logo (regular and inverted).

The Electra team will announce the merchants chosen to participate in the pilot on January 15, 2020.
