Unibright integrates Anyblock Analytics into blockchain development framework

Unibright, a provider of a unified framework, bringing blockchain technology and smart contracts to mainstream usage, announced it has partnered with Anyblock Analytics, a German blockchain solution provider that offers methods, tools and data to integrate business processes with the blockchain more efficiently and with greatly reduced risks.

The “Anyblock Index” (formerly called eth.events) enables users to search, process and analyze real-time blockchain data from different networks. Unibright worked together with team members of eth.events in its blockchain CO2 compensation project “Carbonara” and are now bringing together their tech stack with the Unibright Explorer.

The Unibright Framework consists of 4 components to visually define business processes (Workflow Designer), publish and maintain automatically generated smart contracts to different blockchains (Lifecycle Manager), integrate these contracts with on- and off-chain system landscapes (Connector) and visually monitor all ongoing processes (Explorer).

Within the Unibright Framework, each blockchain-related use case is represented by a template. A template handles “the standard 80%” out of the box and can be adjusted and customized to tailor-fit the specific use case of a client.

The advantage of a template-based approach especially shows its potential in the monitoring component: The Unibright Explorer includes all connected sources of an ongoing business process and presents the current state in a graphical, easy-to-understand view to users.

Background

Given the current state of adoption of blockchain technology in general, there are still not many standards available. The advantage of an integration platform like the Unibright Framework and the use of templates come to life once a significant number of single blockchain business processes are up and running and need to be integrated and monitored.

Today, still many blockchain solutions are custom-made solutions that are not established well enough to derive standards out of them that could be used in a template. In this surrounding, there are many situations where you need ad-hoc-information on transactions within a blockchain network — and it is not (yet) the domain expert asking for this information, but more likely a team member with a bit of technical knowledge.

The Anyblock-hosted visualization layer with the open-source Metabase software enables the user to quickly generate informative and appealing charts that are easy to play around with even for non-technical users and to share within an organization or publicly.

Unibright partners with Anyblock to integrate their tech-stack into the Unibright world, by extending the Unibright Explorer Frontend.

The dashboard uses the Anyblock Index that enables the user to query decoded and enriched blockchain data from all publicly available Ethereum networks using ElasticSearch or standard SQL. By offering these standard interfaces, the data is also easy to integrate with existing applications and enterprise solutions like ERP (e.g. SAP), IT monitoring (e.g. Nagios) or Business Intelligence (e.g. Tableau) software.

The Anyblock Index currently already includes all data from Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and POA Networks, each with their main blockchain as well as the corresponding test networks.

“Including Anyblock’s more generic querying approach into our Unibright Explorer empowers the user to run more detailed queries, even if they are not part of a template yet. Still, queries can be predefined and prefilled with actual information from the workflow instance, providing an easy start to monitor an ongoing process. We loved working with Anyblock during the Carbonara project and are looking forward to working together on upcoming projects.”

Permissioned Proof-of-Authority chains like xDAI and the Energy Web Chain are also part of the database index. The solution is also available as a virtual appliance to be integrated into private consortia networks or to decrypt encrypted data on-premise.

“It is great to see the Unibright success in integrating blockchain processes with existing enterprise software. We are delighted to help companies leverage the full potential of blockchain technology. Our solution enables bridges to be built between different departments and organizations, across various blockchain networks and most important between people. With our analytics products, users can generate actionable insights into blockchain data and transparently share it with many different stakeholders — which is important no matter what stage the project is.”
