Non-custodial Proof-of-Stake wallet Lunie launches mobile app

Lunie, a non-custodial Proof-of-Stake wallet for Cosmos, with support for Polkadot, Binance, and more chains coming soon, announced today the Beta launch of the mobile app for iPhone and Android devices.

The mobile version of Lunie has the same features as with the Lunie web app, optimized for smartphones. On Lunie Mobile, users can send tokens, receive tokens, stake tokens, vote on governance proposals, and create accounts.

Lunie Mobile Management

Lunie Mobile lets users quickly and easily create accounts (a simple name and address pair) or recover an address with a backup code (seed phrase).

Accounts created on mobile will be encrypted and stored in local storage on a user’s device. The private key will be encrypted by the password of their choosing. Currently, Lunie does not offer password recovery, if the password is forgotten, but you have the backup code, it’s simple to reimport your account and make a new password.

Those who like the safety and comfort of storing their keys on a Ledger Nano or the Lunie Browser Extension, will be able to utilize “explore mode” on Lunie Mobile. Explore mode lets users operate the Lunie mobile app with any wallet address, though it won’t be possible to sign any transactions, it is possible to monitor balances, rewards, validators, and governance proposals from the comfort of a smartphone.

Features to be implemented soon on the Lunie app include: Upgrade for Cosmos Hub 3, support for new networks as mentioned above, and real-time push notifications on mobile and web.
