Stryking opens NFTs auction for FC Bayern Munich crypto player cards

Stryking, a hub for blockchain-based digital collectibles centered around popular sports licenses, announced today it has commenced the auction for 18 unique official FC Bayern Munich licensed digital collectibles.

The auction is live now and will run until 6 pm on December 6th, 2019 (GMT). The player cards on auction are non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are unique cryptographic tokens that have their authenticity and ownership secured and guaranteed by blockchain technology. NFTs have properties such as rarity and uniqueness – just like physical collectibles. This makes NFTs particularly well suited for digital collecting.

NFT Player Cards

The FC Bayern Munich players featured are Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, Philippe Correia, Thiago Alcántara, Thomas Müller, Jérôme Boateng, Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, David Alaba, Corentin Tolisso, Kingsley Coman, Lucas Hernández, Benjamin Pavard, Javier Martínez, Ivan Perisic, Alphonso Davies, Niklas Süle, and Leon Goretzka.

Owners of these player cards will enjoy complete digital ownership of the cards with the freedom to do anything they want, including selling them on a marketplace for real money or using them in any supported blockchain games.

Rare digital collectibles can be tremendously valuable. The “1-1-1”, the first official Formula 1 NFT for the upcoming blockchain game F1 Delta Time, was sold for 415.9 ETH (approximately USD $113,000 at the time of sale); the CryptoKitties unique NFT “Dragon” sold for 600 ETH (the equivalent of about USD $170,000 at the time of sale); the NFT “Hyperion” for Gods Unchained sold for 146.271 ETH (worth approximately USD $60,000 at the time of sale).

Auction

Participation in the auction requires a web browser that supports Ethereum wallets, as well as an Ethereum wallet; bids are made in ether (ETH).

After an initial 3-month cooldown period, auction winners will have 30 days to return the FC Bayern Munich player cards to Stryking for a full refund (minus applicable gas fees; the cool-down period for each player card begins when the auction for that item ends).

FC Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 and is the most successful club in German football history, with a record of winning 29 national titles and 19 national cups.
