Former Korbit EVP Joon Bhang joins Findora as Head of North Asia Operations

Findora, a cryptographic network that enables the secure, fully compliant transfer and verification of financial assets, has announced the appointment of Joon Bhang as Head of North Asia Operations.

Bhang’s role will focus on developing relationships with major financial institutions, corporations, and government bodies as Findora expands its global footprint in Korea, Japan, and North Asia.

Bhang will also be focusing on developing partnerships with leading institutions in the fintech industry, and formulating the right service strategy and customizable business model for each partner.

Joon Bhang Appointed

Former Executive Vice President of Korbit, Korea’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, Joon brings more than 20 years experience spanning traditional finance, fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and business consulting at some of the world’s leading organizations.

A graduate of Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Bhang began his career in the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, and served 12 years as a strategy consultant of the financial services practice at Boston Consulting Group, Oliver Wyman, and A.T. Kearney. He also served as Co-founder and CEO of iLytics and as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Business & Corporate Strategy at CJ Foodville.

Bhang’s appointment comes fresh on the heels of the appointment of two new strategic advisors; Balaji Srinivasan, former CTO of Coinbase, and Professor Dan Boneh, Head of Stanford Cryptography. The Findora founding team includes other well-known industry names such as Ben Fisch, inventor of Filecoin proof-of-storage mining and VDFs; Benedikt Bunz, inventor of Bulletproofs and VDFs; and John Powers, former head of Stanford’s $25bn endowment fund.
