Crypto wallet BITBERRY integrates threat protection from Sentinel Protocol

Today, crowd-sourced threat intelligence platform Sentinel Protocol announced a new partnership with BITBERRY, a South Korean crypto wallet that was launched by Dunamu’s subsidiary, Rootone Soft. Dunamu is the brains behind Upbit, one of South Korea’s largest crypto exchange.

As partners, they will deliver crypto-asset scam protection along with secure user experience. This partnership will facilitate the integration of Sentinel Protocol’s crypto scam protection solution, UPPward Chrome/Firefox extensions, and the Interactive Cooperation Framework API (ICF API).

These solutions aim to help crypto wallet services and exchanges to prevent malicious attacks and scams. This will also ensure that BITBERRY’s wallet users are secured and well-protected from fraudulent transactions and malicious threats.

The main focus of BITBERRY’s wallet services is the protection of customers’ digital assets. With BITBERRY running the ICF API, users would be immediately notified anytime a recipient’s wallet address gets blacklisted in Sentinel Protocol’s crowdsourced Threat Reputation Database (TRDB).

“BITBERRY has the same level of security as the Upbit crypto exchange. The company recently completed a code review with world-leading whitehat hacker teams, Theori. We also have a security system that separates crypto assets from the Internet using cold wallets. While making transactions, it is difficult for users to determine whether or not wallet addresses they transact with are fraudulent or are being used for money laundering purposes. Using Sentinel Protocol’s security solutions allows us to verify a recipient’s address in real-time, as if we had ‘hidden surveillance.”

Ross Jang, CEO of RootOne Soft, who provides BITBERRY’s wallet services.

“As malicious attacks evolve and become more sophisticated, it is vital to protect end-users while they transact online. Sentinel Protocol believes that partnerships with wallet services will raise awareness on the importance of security in the crypto markets. When it comes to resolving security issues, traditional approaches no longer work these days. Our novel approach involves crowdsourced security intelligence. Nothing is more powerful than a community committed to combat fraud and scams.”
