ABCC CEO Addresses Industry Thought Leaders at DELTA Summit in Malta

Calvin Cheng, CEO and Co-founder of ABCC Digital Asset Exchange (ABCC), today delivered his keynote remarks at the DELTA Summit 2018, the Maltese government’s official blockchain event.

Addressing a distinguished audience of more than 3,000 industry experts and thought leaders, he shared his expertise and insight on the future of crypto finance in the start-up ecosystem. Additionally, Mr. Cheng participated in two further panels, shedding light on the role of blockchain in disrupting business processes as well as global industry trends in regulatory technology and digital asset regulation.

Taking place from 3-5 October 2018 in Malta, the DELTA Summit serves as a convening point for startups, companies, and investors to promote the exchange of insights and trends on a wide range of themes related to blockchain. Participating alongside the industry’s most prominent organizations, ABCC has committed to a sponsorship package of equal distinction to its first-tier counterparts, a reflection of the exchange’s ambition.

Commenting on ABCC’s sponsorship, Mr. Cheng said: “With the constant evolution we are facing in the digital asset world, we need to understand how to best leverage innovative technologies. Being one of the hyper partners, we are proud to share this opportunity with DELTA Summit. This event is an important occasion to showcase our latest progress with the wider blockchain and crypto community.”

He added: “Malta is among the first pioneering countries to introduce cryptocurrency regulations. ABCC’s decision to establish our European headquarters in Malta is a firm validation of our commitment to supporting and embracing favorable blockchain regulation in this strategically important market. I am optimistic it will help strengthen our presence in Europe and beyond.”

In a bid to transform itself into an investment destination for fintech, the Parliament of Malta has passed three bills to establish a regulatory framework for blockchain technology in July, which are set to take effect on 1 November 2018.

For his part, Dr. Abdalla Kablan, CEO of DELTA Summit, said: “We are extremely happy to be hosting ABCC at DELTA Summit. ABCC is truly an exciting company and their presence at DELTA is a powerful addition to the line-up of distinguished participants.”
