Privacy-centric dApp platform Mainframe partners with Telefónica

Mainframe, the censorship-resistant web3 blockchain platform for building decentralized applications today announced a partnership with Telefónica, one of the largest Spanish multinational broadband providers. The joint initiative with Telefónica’s innovation arm, known as Wayra, will give Mainframe unique access to the company’s global base of enterprises, affiliates, and 300 million customers.

In collaboration with Telefónica’s innovation arm, Mainframe will explore solutions for greater data security, user privacy, and digital freedom in the telecommunications industry. The partnership was developed out of the clear need for heightened data privacy and security mechanisms throughout communications networks. Mainframe’s work to create robust decentralized solutions complements the ongoing work throughout Telefónica’s global network.

“This partnership is ideal for Mainframe. Telefónica, and its innovation team, have shared a huge interest in exploring the opportunities of a decentralized application platform that’s resistant to censorship, surveillance, and disruption. We’re thrilled to start working on solutions that will deliver on that promise for their affiliates and clients. We are excited to continue our efforts to provide solutions for all who need security, convenience, and control over the applications we rely on more than ever. We look forward to collaboration in the years to come with deep and abiding partnerships as we take the Mainframe revolution across the globe.”

Mick Hagen, CEO of Mainframe

Mainframe’s unique network design makes privacy, security, and control of data easy and automatic. It allows anyone, anywhere to freely build secure and scalable applications. From financial data, to social media platforms, to protection of IP information, the use cases of Mainframe technology are virtually limitless.

“We could not be happier to welcome Mainframe to the family, they have proven that they have what it takes to work with a telecommunications giant and we look forward to seeing what this partnership creates.”
