Zilliqa blockchain platform announces the first projects of its grant program

Zilliqa, the blockchain technology platform based on research from a team of computer scientists at the National University of Singapore, has announced the first class of 12 teams/projects that will be recipients as part of their Ecosystem Grant Program, first announced by the company two months ago.

The Zilliqa Ecosystem Grant is designed to incentivize the production of tools for the enterprise and consumer applications that will be launched when the high-speed Zilliqa platform goes live towards the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019. The Zilliqa platform will enable a class of high-throughput and secure enterprise and consumer smart contract applications.

“We are thrilled to announce the first group of developers that will be participating in our Ecosystem Grant Program and helping to build the Zilliqa infrastructure. This group was selected because of their strong technical ability, their understanding of the ecosystem Zilliqa is building, and their willingness to work together as part of our community. We look forward to working together with our community developers moving forward and would also like to thank everyone who has applied to the program.”

Xinshu Dong, CEO of Zilliqa

12 teams/developers have been awarded the first class of ecosystem grants and will be working alongside the company to build infrastructure and also new applications on Zilliqa, including Web3, wallets, libraries, extensions, Scilla language server, games as well as a cross-chain protocol for bitcoin token issuance.

The community’s involvement through the grant program will ensure that the necessary development tools, frameworks, and libraries will be in place to help drive the development of new “killer applications” that will be built on the blockchain in the future.

The following 12 projects/developers will be working alongside the Zilliqa team to build infrastructure and new applications on the Zilliqa blockchain:
