Chamber of Digital Commerce creates non-profit to support blockchain research

The Chamber of Digital Commerce, an American advocacy group that promotes the emerging industry behind blockchain technology, bitcoin, digital currency and digital assets announced today the launch of an affiliate organization, The Foundation of the Chamber of Digital Commerce.

The Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization that will sponsor and support research and educational activities to promote the acceptance and use of digital assets and blockchain technologies.

“The Chamber of Digital Commerce has made incredible progress over the past three and a half years in working with industry and the policy community. However, we still have much work to do to reach mass adoption,” said Perianne Boring, founder, and president, Chamber of Digital Commerce. “The Foundation of the Chamber of Digital Commerce will serve as a platform to help fuel continued prosperity and growth for the next generation of our industry.”

The Foundation was established to help solve some of the industry’s most pressing issues, including interoperability, scalability, and adoption.

Donations to The Foundation will be used to support the following initiatives:

– Research and Support for Open Source Innovation
– Education of the Workforce
– Communications to the Public
