TradeBlock, the provider of enterprise data tools for blockchain assets today announced Michal Wieja as Director of Engineering. Michal will oversee TradeBlock’s platform and data services, with a focus on infrastructure scaling for TradeBock’s institutional-quality trading tools for digital currencies.
TradeBlock stated they he is a natural fit to lead the efforts underway that will ensure TradeBlock’s OTC trading network and related services perform appropriately to accommodate the leading financial firms and digital currency companies around the world who depend on TradeBlock products every day.
Michal spent the last six years of his career at eBay where he managed the infrastructure that handled hundreds of millions of data objects on a daily basis. He also designed and implemented deep-learning, real-time algorithms for item recommendation and pattern recognition.
Earlier in his career, Michal spent time working as a software engineer for Motorola Electronics in their radio infrastructure division. Michal holds a master’s degree in physics from The Silesian University of Technology in Poland and has lived in Cracow, London, San Francisco and New York. He enjoys riding motorcycles and recently spent time riding one across the European continent.
