GMO Coin, Inc. a Japanese crypto exchange has announced the launch today of Litecoin handling, where users can now buy, sell and trade LTC against the yen. The company’s plan to add different coins in addition to bitcoin was announced in September. The schedule included adding Bitcoin Cash and Ether right away, Ripple in November, and Ethereum Classic before the end of the year.
To commemorate the listing, GMO Coin has announced a promotion consisting of a reduction in trading fees.
The reduced spreads listed below will last from Wednesday, October 25, 2017, to November 2017 29th:
LTC fees usually 300 yen → now 100 yen
ETH fees usually 2,000 yen → now 1,000 yen
BCH fees usually 3,000 yen → now 1,500 yen
Litecoin has been a big gainer along with bitcoin this year, rising from USD $4 to hit highs close to $100, and now trading at $54, 1% of BTC’s value.
