Nexus launches visual ID solution for physical and digital access

Identity and security company Nexus Group, today announced it has launched a new solution that lets an organization’s users identify themselves visually, login, open doors, sign transactions, make payments, and use follow-me printing – with one single Smart-ID.

The Nexus Smart ID solution consists of multifunctional ID cards with photos (also called professional ID cards or common access cards, CACs) along with software to manage different kinds of both physical and digital access.

Compatible with most access systems

“We are the only company that can offer the full package. We have now standardized our solution to make it smoother to use and easier for our partners to sell,” says Lars Pettersson, CEO of Nexus.

“Our solution also includes ID life-cycle management software and self-service stations to manage the cards as well as mobile IDs and other authenticators,” says Pettersson.

The Nexus Smart ID solution is compatible with most systems for physical and digital access.

A one-stop-shop for identity solutions

“We also offer optional add-ons, including a range of two-factor authentication methods, digital signing as a service, integration with physical access control systems from leading vendors, and unique card readers. We are a one-stop-shop, providing all the identity solutions you need for physical and digital access,” says Pettersson.

Nexus already has a large number of customers using the Smart ID solution.

“The news is that we now have standardized our solution and made different packages suited for different types of organizations, which makes the solution much smoother for our end customers to use – and much easier for our partners to sell,” says Pettersson.

Converging physical and digital access

Nexus has a broad product portfolio and was created through a number of mergers, with the aim to converge physical and digital access.

“We have managed to reach this goal. The Smart ID solution is the result, built on all of our technology and competence,” says Pettersson.
