UK-based bitcoin exchange CEX.IO has announced the upgrade of its simplified buy/sell interface by enabling support for British pounds. Such an update is particularly beneficial for users from the UK who want to quickly buy bitcoins with their local currency.
Ethereum is also available to quickly purchase through GBP in the updated feature. The interface (pictured above) includes ready-made packages for a certain amount of bitcoins (or ethereum).
Users can either choose a bundle or enter a custom amount of coins. The price is recalculated automatically every 120 seconds, to ensure that the BTC price is up-to-date.
With the new update, clients can also use payment cards in GBP, which avoids extra conversion fees. Moreover, you can also sell BTC for GBP and then eventually cash out GBP funds back to your VISA or MasterCard.
As CEX.IO is a UK-based business, it has recently put more attention toward improving its GBP market. Back in December, the exchange added the BTC/GBP trading pair to the platform. The British pound was the fourth fiat currency introduced CEX.IO, after USD, EUR, and RUB.
